Details of the restoration process. Removal of the windows, and installation of the temporary window plugs. We developed special window plugs with acrylic inserts to allow for natural light to come into the space during the months that the windows were being restored. All of the original double-hung window sashes were replaced with new custom crafted divided sashes as there was no need for the windows to be operable in their current setting, and because some of the original wood was found to be rotted.
